People’s Party Ahead of Socialists in Upcoming Elections

This time, Spain's People's Party (PP) has greater chances of winning the parliamentary elections in November, than the Socialists (PSOE), reveals the survey conducted by El Mundo. Presently PP has a support of 47.8% in comparison to 31.6% of the support with PSOE.

The PP is ahead of the PSOE, even in the survey conducted by Sigma Dos. The reason of the decline in the popularity of PSOE is the incapability of the Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero in controlling the debt-crisis in the nation. Also, a 20% rise in the unemployment rate in the region has crushed the expectation of the people of the nation badly. The people of the nation are dissatisfied with the measures adopted by the ruling government in controlling the financial shortage.

It has been three years since people of the nation are being affected by the persistent financial shortage and slump. Also, the rise in the rates of the unemployment rate has surpassed the record of past 14 years.

According to the estimation made by survey doers, the current rise in the support of the PP will provide them with 139 seats out of the total 350 seats of the Parliament. Whereas the PSOE, will manage to win only 122 seats and the leftover 35 seats will be occupied by the unpopular and smaller political parties of the nation.
