It has been revealed that the US court has ruled the case of the sunken treasure in favor of Spain. They are of the view that the treasure than was found after a deep sea exploration which was estimated to be extremely valuable and 200 years old, belongs to Spain and is going to be returned to the nation.

The name of the long lost ship was "Nuestra Senora de las Mercedes" and it was found by the Odyssey firm. They had to swim 1700 feet down under to unravel this mystery and find these exuberant treasures.

It was in the year 2007 that the 17ton monster was found from the sea. The firm hasn't revealed about the location of the wreck merely referring to it as the `Black Swan'.

The court was of the view that the treasures must be returned to Spain irrespective of where it was found and by whom, because it was a Spanish warship.

"Everything taken by the US Company from our ship must be restored to our national custody in accordance with international law", said the ruling.

The Odyssey was obviously disappointed by this decision because they had spent a lot of time and money in searching and retrieving these treasures.
