It was after the war had brought the entire industry down to the dregs, that there is need for strict measures to be taken for mending it.
This meeting took place at the city of Benghazi, where six months ago, the whole issue of Moammar Gaddafi had started to take rise. It was revealed by a spokesperson from Repsol, Kristian Rix that the main aim of these talks and developments was to bring back to normal, the oil industry of the nation. It is because it is one of the major sources of economy for the nation and it is essential to get it back on track soon.
Repsol YPF SA is also "evaluating the condition of our assets and the infrastructure to get a better estimation for when we can return to resumption of activities”, Rix said.
The talks are currently being kept under covers and not many authorities are coming out and commenting on it. There shall be a total evaluation done on the issues that prevail in the Libyan Oil industry and then the effective measures shall be taken for the same.
