According to a recent survey, it has been revealed that besides the UK, Spain is one of the best places to spend one’s life after retirement. This has been revealed according to the research conducted by the Standard Life agency.
It reported that as many as 310,000 British citizens immigrate to different places of the world. It was further revealed that as many as 800, 000 turned to Spain as their home in the last year.
It was revealed by John Lawson, the Head of the pension policy department, that there are a number of problems faced by the residents of the area while immigration. He was of the revelation that the retirees have to choose between an income drawdown or annual income. They also need to decide whether their expenditures would be met sufficiently by their retirement income.
"Your retirement income could also be subject to exchange rates and currency fluctuations, as well as local tax laws”, he added.
There are many people who dream of retiring abroad and living the rest of their lives with peace and tranquility. But it might seem to turn into a nightmare if the immigration and other arrangements at the country do not match up to their expectations.
