Apple, Samsung on Top in Western Europe Shipment Data

Apple is announced as one of the five companies in the New PC shipment data for Western Europe which has registered growth in the second quarter.
Though the growth is not much, buy 0.5%, it is a considerable percentage when compared to other companies.
Regions’ PC shipment has declined 19% in the second quarter, and the biggest decline was witnessed by the Acer and that of 44.6% year after year. Even the shipping also reduced from 3.69 million a year ago to just 2.05 million units now.
Principal analyst at Gartner, who announced the list, said, "The PC market in Western Europe suffered from weak demand in both the professional and consumer sectors, a market which also faced inventory issues caused by overstocking in 2010”.
He also affirmed that Gartner Europe numbers Q2 2011 Data included desktop PCs and mobile PCs but media tablets were excluded.
Even, Asus also faced decline in shipment by 22.9%, HP fell by 6.1% and Dell by 12.7%.Mini- notebook shipments were hit the hardest, falling 53%, while desktop PCs dropped by just 15.4%.
In UK, Samsung managed to grow by 5.2% and was ahead of Apple by 1%.
