29% Growth in First-Half Net Profit for Gamera

Gamera has reported that they had 29% growth in the first-half net profit. They have increased the production in markets such as China and India while defending the operating margins, which came in at 5.2% for the quarter whereas the company target was about 4-5%.
On Thursday, the company has reported that they have sold 2.27 Gigawatts (GW) of turbines in the first quarter as compared with the targeted sales of 2.8-3.1 GW. They have covered their sale targets of 2011 by the end of the June.
The company added that first-half net profit increases to 29 million Euros ($41.7 million) from 22 million a year earlier and beating the estimates for 26 million while earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) grows to 26 % to 62 million, which is above the forecast for 58 million. The Gamesa's shares also increases by 1.83 % by 0747 GMT.
Gamesa has revealed that now they are focusing on wind turbine manufacture and development in markets. It was also revealed that both Gamesa and Iberdrola have reported that they hope to continue working together to bolster their positions in the wind energy business. Iberdrola is the largest shareholder in Gamesa, which is also its biggest supplier of wind-power equipment. Iberdrola holds around 19.6% stake of Gamera.
