Spain Becomes Favorite Holiday Destination for Irish Tourists

There is good news for Spain tourism industry, as Irish tourists who visit Spain for holidays have increased by 13.7%.The facts have been put forth by Spanish tourist board statistics. The said percentage is for the last year.
Despite recession, Irish tourists have shown their phenomenal love towards Spain. To tell about figures, 579,555 Irish tourists visited Spain and its affiliated islands in the first six months of the year. As per experts’ opinion, Spain has become hot destination among tourists, as other favorite tourist destinations like Middle East, North Africa and Greece are thought to un-safe, at the moment.
For Irish people, the Canary Islands topped on their list of favorite destination, and the Balearics stood at second number, on their priority list. Spanish Tourism Minister Miguel Sebastian said that the figures “confirm the positive evolution of Spanish tourism”.
Antonio Bernabe, Director of the Spanish Tourism Board, believes that these figures have stated that tourists find Spain to be a safe destination, and also which offers high-quality, diverse offerings.
Bernabe further affirmed that last year, they saw a decline by 20% in tourists, heading to Spain. But, now they are back with a bang.
Even Britain love for Spain has revived, with almost six million British visiting the place.
