Report: Spanish cyclist Toni Tauler tests positive

According to local Spanish media reports, country’s track cyclist Toni Tauler, a silver medal winner at the Beijing Olympics, has tested positive for a banned substance.
Moreover, the sports newspaper AS published that the 36-year old was tested by the Spanish Cycling Federation before the world championships in Ballerup, Denmark in the month of March this year.
Further, the newspaper reported that the second analysis is to be carried out soon.
On the other hand, the federation refused to give any statement on the reports.
In the meantime, Tauler has bagged a silver medal in the men’s Madison event at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing with teammate Joan LIaneras.
He undertook the same event in Ballerup with Unai Elloriage, while the pair was forced to drop out.
