According to some recent news, Spain’s soccer player’s association (AFE) announced that it has called off a strike over unpaid wages which could have stopped matches in the country’s top four leagues.
While talking to reporters, a spokesperson from AFE, Luis Rubiales said, “Enough progress had been made at talks with the Spanish League, the football federation and Spain's Sports Council to enable his organization to call off industrial action.”
The pay disputes applied primarily to footballers in the lower tiers.
On the other hand, the strike could have cut off around 10 matches in the top division’s 33rd around, including Real Madrid against Valencia and Espanyol against Barcelona.
Further, talking to media, Rubiales said, “All games can go ahead now.”
