A/H1N1 Infection Rate Falls In Spain

According to the data revealed by the Spanish Ministry of Health, the swine flu cases went down during the last week.
Moreover, the figures revealed by the health ministry showed that the week of November 22-28 has recorded the fall for the first time in several weeks in the case of A/H1N1 flu in the country.
The level of infection in the nation stands at 243.71 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, with 105.304 new cases indexed in the last week.
However, a week ago, the infectivity level was 371.68 cases per 100,000 people with 158.942 new cases registered.
The figures supported the Spanish government's anticipation that cases of the flu would peak at the end of November.
The deadly virus has taken lives of 169 people in the country, although the mortality rate still remains low at 0.15 deaths per 1,000 cases.
The Spanish government has already declared that over one million people had received vaccinations against the virus.
