Spain decides to help repatriate stranded Britons

Spain offered on Monday that it permit Britain and other European nations to use its airports as stopovers to get tens of thousands of travelers stuck by the volcanic ash could traveling again.

While talking to media, Spain’s infrastructure minister, Jose Blanco said, “All of Spain's airports were open Monday. More than a dozen closed for a while Sunday because of the ash. Most of those were in the north of Spain, but they also included the one in Barcelona, the country's second largest city.”
